This quote came to mind during the recent gun bill debate. It seems that moneyed interest frequently takes precedent over what is in the best interest of the people. Even when the majority of the country supports a measure there is no guarantee that our government will pass it. Who are our elected officials beholden to? If not us then who?

I don't think the Invisible Government is as Invisible as it used to be. For one thing names are being named. Take George Soros. About 15 years ago most of us probably wouldn't know who he is. But with the Internet a person can find out in less than a few seconds.
The problem now is Ignorance(sometimes Willful) and Apathy(again sometimes Willful) from people toward those in the 'Shadows'.
